The Melloxy® gel is soft and nearly painless to apply, even on sensitive wounds. It creates a moist healing environment, reduces inflammation, pain, and swelling, and promotes faster healing. With a pH of 4 and a peroxide level 10 times higher than average honey, it ensures effective debridement and protection against infections.
Indications:
- Traumatic wounds: cuts and abrasions
- Contaminated acute wounds: surgical/post-operative wounds
- Oncological wounds
- Minor burns and laser wounds: 1st and 2nd degree
- Chronic superficial wounds: leg ulcers, pressure ulcers
Application
- Apply a thin layer of gel, then cover with gauze or equivalent (tulle, foam)
- Change dressing daily or every two day
- Gel does not stick to the wound, making dressing removal easy and painless
Composition
Honey: 40% selected Bulgarian mountain flower honey, which provides antibacterial and healing properties. The honey has a pH of 4 and a high peroxide value.
Ozonized olive oil: 11% ozonized vegetable olive oil that enhances the antibacterial properties.
Propylene glycol: A component that contributes to the gel's moist environment and osmotic effect.
PEG 4000: A polyethylene glycol that helps to create the smooth and creamy texture of the gel.
